Nicodemus and Birth from Above

نیکودیموس و زادهشدن از بالا

the same came unto him by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that thou doest, except God be with him.
۳:۲او شبانگاه نزد عیسی آمد و به او گفت ربی میدانیم که از جانب خدا معلم آمدهای زیرا هیچکس نمیتواند این نشانهها را که تو انجام میدهی انجام دهد مگر آنکه خدا با او باشد.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
۳:۳عیسی جواب داد و به او گفت بهراستی بهراستی به تو میگویم اگر کسی از بالا زاده نشود نمیتواند پادشاهی خدا را ببیند.

Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter a second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
۳:۴نیکودیموس به او گفت انسان وقتی پیر شده است چگونه میتواند زاده شود آیا میتواند بار دوم داخل رحم مادر خود شود و زاده شود.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
۳:۵عیسی جواب داد بهراستی بهراستی به تو میگویم اگر کسی از آب و روح زاده نشود نمیتواند به پادشاهی خدا داخل شود.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
۳:۶آنچه از جسم زاده شده است جسم است و آنچه از روح زاده شده است روح است.

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born anew.
۳:۷تعجب نکن که به تو گفتم شما باید از بالا زاده شوید.

The wind bloweth where it will, and thou hearest the voice thereof, but knowest not whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
۳:۸باد هر کجا بخواهد میوزد و صدای آن را میشنوی اما نمیدانی از کجا میآید و به کجا میرود هر کس که از روح زاده شده است همینگونه است.

۳:۱۰عیسی جواب داد و به او گفت تو معلم اسرائیل هستی و این چیزها را نمیدانی؟

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that which we know, and bear witness of that which we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
۳:۱۱بهراستی بهراستی به تو میگویم آنچه میدانیم میگوییم و آنچه دیدهایم شهادت میدهیم و شما شهادت ما را نمیپذیرید.

If I told you earthly things and ye believe not, how shall ye believe if I tell you heavenly things?
۳:۱۲اگر چیزهای زمینی را به شما گفتم و ایمان نمیآورید اگر چیزهای آسمانی را به شما بگویم چگونه ایمان خواهید آورد؟

And no one hath ascended into heaven, but he that descended out of heaven, even the Son of man, who is in heaven.
۳:۱۳و هیچکس به آسمان بالا نرفته است مگر پسر انسان که از آسمان فرود آمد.

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up;
۳:۱۴و چنانکه موسی مار را در بیابان افراشت همانگونه پسر انسان نیز باید افراشته شود.

محبت خدا، داوری و نور

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.
۳:۱۶زیرا خدا جهان را چنان محبت کرد که پسر یگانۀ خود را داد تا هر که به او ایمان آورد هلاک نگردد بلکه حیات جاویدان داشته باشد.

For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through him.
۳:۱۷زیرا خدا پسر را به جهان نفرستاد تا جهان را داوری کند بلکه تا جهان بهواسطۀ او نجات یابد.

He that believeth on him is not judged: he that believeth not hath been judged already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God.
۳:۱۸آن که به او ایمان میآورد داوری نمیشود اما آن که ایمان نمیآورد از پیش داوری شده است زیرا به نام پسر یگانۀ خدا ایمان نیاورده است.

And this is the judgment, that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil.
۳:۱۹و داوری این است نور به جهان آمده است و انسانها تاریکی را بیشتر از نور دوست داشتند زیرا کارهای آنان شریرانه بود.

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, and cometh not to the light, lest his works should be reproved.
۳:۲۰زیرا هر که کار بد انجام میدهد از نور نفرت دارد و به نور نمیآید مبادا کارهای او آشکار شوند.

But he that doeth the truth cometh to the light, that his works may be made manifest, that they have been wrought in God.
۳:۲۱اما آن که راستی را انجام میدهد به نور میآید تا کارهای او آشکار شوند که در خدا انجام شدهاند.

After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judæa; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.
۳:۲۲پس از این عیسی و شاگردان او به سرزمین یهودیه آمدند و او در آنجا با آنان به سر میبرد و تعمید میداد.

And John also was baptizing in Ænon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.
۳:۲۳و یوحنا نیز در عینون نزدیک سالیم تعمید میداد زیرا در آنجا آب فراوان بود و مردم میآمدند و تعمید میگرفتند.

For John was not yet cast into prison.
۳:۲۴زیرا یوحنا هنوز به زندان انداخته نشده بود.

There arose therefore a questioning on the part of John’s disciples with a Jew about purifying.
۳:۲۵پس بین شاگردان یوحنا و یک یهودی بحثی بر سر پاکسازی درگرفت.

And they came unto John, and said to him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond the Jordan, to whom thou hast borne witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.
۳:۲۶و نزد یوحنا آمدند و به او گفتند ربی آن که در آن سوی اردن با تو بود و تو دربارهٔ او شهادت دادهای اینک او تعمید میدهد و همه نزد او میآیند.

John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it have been given him from heaven.
۳:۲۷یوحنا جواب داد و گفت انسان نمیتواند هیچ چیز دریافت کند مگر آنکه از آسمان به او داده شده باشد.

Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but, that I am sent before him.
۳:۲۸شما خود شهادت میدهید که گفتم من مسیح نیستم بلکه پیشاپیش او فرستاده شدهام.

He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, that standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is made full.
۳:۲۹کسی که عروس را دارد داماد است اما دوست داماد که ایستاده است و صدای او را میشنود از صدای داماد بسیار شاد میشود پس این شادی من کامل شده است.

He must increase, but I must decrease.
۳:۳۰او باید افزون شود اما من کاسته شوم.

آن که از بالا میآید

He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is of the earth, and of the earth he speaketh: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
۳:۳۱آن که از بالا میآید برتر از همه است. آن که از زمین است زمینی است و از زمین سخن میگوید. آن که از آسمان میآید برتر از همه است.

What he hath seen and heard, of that he beareth witness; and no man receiveth his witness.
۳:۳۲آنچه دیده و شنیده است بر آن شهادت میدهد و هیچکس شهادت او را نمیپذیرد.

۳:۳۳آن که شهادت او را پذیرفته است بر راستی خدا مهر تأیید زده است.

۳:۳۴زیرا آن که خدا فرستاده است سخنان خدا را میگوید زیرا روح را به میزان معین نمیبخشد.

۳:۳۵پدر پسر را دوست دارد و همهچیز را به دست او سپرده است.

He that believeth on the Son hath eternal life; but he that obeyeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him.
۳:۳۶آن که به پسر ایمان میآورد حیات جاویدان دارد اما آن که از پسر فرمان نمیبرد حیات را نخواهد دید بلکه خشم خدا بر او باقی میماند.
